It takes a wise man to learn from their mistakes.
It takes a brave person to accept their wrong.
It takes a real human being to apologize.

She did. She "peaced" me. SOOOOO unbelievable, I swear.
There's still hope yet for her.

"May I present to you the newly weds: Mrs. Aikaye Bollozos Hipona Mendoza Daoang Lim Bonotan Lim Conception Cabanlas Linog Sarraga and Mr. -insert whichever first name of whichever husband stated after Aikaye's real last name-"

The grade school campus was bathed in the golden glow of the afternoon sun as the sophies willingly paid the Juniors to handcuff themselves to any random person, be it for fun or... just something to do.

Also, others were crazy enough to agree to a "forced marriage" [*note: hence Aikaye's extremely long full name] It's a win-win situation for the Sophies and the Juniors. The Sophies get a couple of laughs and funny memories [and something to do], while the Juniors get rich off of us Sophies by taking advantage of the boring moment.

{which reminds me... I wasn't cuffed to -person-!!! REFUND!!! HALAKA!!}

Time eventually flew by and the lazy, golden afternoon sunshine slowly dimmed into a lovely indigo sky with full moon to match.

Everyone was overly hyped up to get their turn to showcase all that hardwork they put in during tiring, sweaty practices and D.I's walking out on them ;)

We anxiously waited for our turn, wishing and hoping that the grade school would hurry up and make way for the High School's Barn dance competition to begin. We did the best we could: smiling and "yo"-ing, putting our all in the performance, forgetting that we were beginning to bathe ourselves in our own sweat.

After the Sophomores were the Juniors, who started off dancing to a cool song by Madonna and a couple of stools, giving "Barn dancing" a whole new and hip twist. After the Juniors were the freshmen... I liked their skirts... Very cute. The skirts had a cute design of embroidered[were they embroidered?] pink flowers. After the freshmen were the Seniors who did a lovely job with those letters on their hats and the constant change of placements, positions, groups and formations.

And then finally, the moment of truth came. All the Sophies held hands gripping tighter and tighter as Perla Babes read the 3rd placers. "For third place, The Freshmen.............. and.......... the Juniors!" Screams and cheers errupted from the Sophies as everyone jumped up and down. Then, everything went quiet again as PB began announcing the 2nd placers. Once again all sophies held hands and stared at PB. "And for 2nd place...... The Sophomores!!!"
This time, even louder screams and cheers errupted from the Sophies AND the Seniors. Some burst into tears of joy while joining the others in jumping up and down while Rafa proudly claimed that sweet red envelope with the amount we won. When everyone grew tired of jumping, they hugged each other to death. I never knew group hugs could be that dangerous. All the cheering and screaming drowned out the sound of Perla's voice as she announed the success of the Seniors as the proudly took away first prize.

BUT!! The celebration wasn't over yet. The band was still hyped up and, obviously, so was the crowd.

The band took their place as the lead singer, manang Bem, began singing "the start of something new" a song popularized by the movie "High School Musical" and everyone sang along.

All the high school students partied and danced the night away, making one big circle and grinding and twisting, doing the monkey [---> HALAKA!!!] and all the other dance moves that were easy to follow in the middle. Strobe lights flashed and hands waved in the air as the band cranked up songs like "A Public Affair" by Jessica Simpson and "baby give it up" {? don't know the exact title... -_-"}

Sadly, the party ended at about 10-ish but that didn't send us home right away. Some people scurried of into groups and told scary stories in the dark.

I've got to say yesterday was one sweet Barn Dance. :)

Roofdeck Fashion. Ethnic Chic. Tokyo Cool. Fashion Drift.
Whatever you want to call it, it doesn't matter. What does matter is the fact that it was extremely fun.

Yesterday was both a big mess of nerves and a whole bunch of fun as the whole school ended Filipino week with a big "talent show" filled with ethnic and folk dancers, singers, public speakers and the like.

With all that stuff to handle, you'd think we're extremely stressed out. Well, we are but we never forgot to have a bit of fun along the way.

Here are a couple of videos I have for all of you.
These were taken up on the roofdeck when we (the folk and ethnic dancers) got bored waiting for the other people to come up for practice.

ipod+itrip+a couple of folk and ethnic props+a whole lot of boredome =

people, people, hush.

I have something important to say.
As much as it pains me to say this, I must. It's for everyone to know. Those rumors about Zac Efron not actually singing? Their semi true.

Actually, his voice was blended (take note: blended, not dubbed!) with someone elses. That someone else is Andrew Seeley.

Too hard to believe? or don't want to believe?
Sadly, I have proof:
